Return of the Mac!!

Updated: Aug 5

Jack McGovern made his official return to AFC Liverpool in the recent away victory at Prestwich Heys. Jack last played for the Club in the 2022/23 season, when he played in 49 of the 50 games and was voted Supporters Player of the Year. He then moved to New Zealand for a period of time, where he showed his versatility by playing up front for Melville United!

The Prestwich game was Jack's 80th appearance for The Non-League Reds and his 23rd clean sheet. Jack told us, "It's great to be back at AFC and I'm looking forward to playing in front of the fans again. I hope I can push on past the 100 appearance milestone and keep adding to the clean sheet tally. There's already a couple of strong goalkeepers at the Club and I'm looking forward to working with them".
