AFC Liverpool are delighted to announce the appointment of Jack Edwards as First Team Assistant Manager. Jack joins us from Marshalls FC of the West Cheshire League where he was First Team Manager.
Jack was registered in time to be in the dugout at the Charnock Richard game on 14th September, but will make his home bow at the Marine Travel Arena this coming Wednesday against Litherland Remyca.
First Team Manager Matt Potter said of his decision:
“Jacks name had come up a few times since I began the search for an assistant manager. He has been spoken highly about and certainly hits the criteria of what I was looking for.
Coming from Marshalls, Jack has experience of football management and that helps us a lot in the running of the 1st team. He understands the challenges that come up and the commitment and dedication that will go into the role".
Jack has his UEFA B and the work he does with players in the city is outstanding. He understands what we are trying to do at the club and I’m delighted to have him joining us.”
Upon his appointment, Jack said:
“I am delighted to be joining AFC Liverpool.
I’d like to thank Matt and the club for the opportunity, I’m looking forward to help carry on the fantastic work they’ve done so far.
After conversations with Matt, I knew the club was a perfect fit for me and I can’t wait to get started and hopefully have lots of success”.
Congratulations on your appointment Jack. Welcome to AFC Liverpool!
